Matthew Jaffe, AIA, joined the firm in 1998 after working for other Philadelphia area architectural firms where he worked on various project types including corporate office interiors, five-star hotel renovations, senior housing, pharmaceutical laboratories, high-tech manufacturing, and factory/industrial projects. Matt also has substantial project experience with educational facilities, long-term care facilities, child-care facilities, mid-rise hotels, low-rise medical and commercial office buildings, retail facilities, and single- and multi-family housing. He became a partner and Principal Architect at AJA in 2002. Matt has complete responsibility for all phases and aspects of assigned projects, including direct involvement with and supervision of in-house staff during programming, design, construction document preparation and construction phase administration, as well as interface and coordination with clients, consultants, contractors and regulatory agencies.
Matt is a licensed architect in multiple states and has served as Principal Architect and Project Manager for such notable projects as the Camp Hill United Methodist Church (Camp Hill, PA), New Life Presbyterian Church (Dresher, PA), and the Marketplace at Telford Train Station (Telford, PA). The Telford Train Station restoration project was awarded a Revitalization Award for excellence in planning and design in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Matt has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell University.
